Platforms 2 - 3

Describe Online

Overview

This is an island platform with platform 3 (a seldom used bay platform) along the west side and platform 2 (towards Dundee and Aberdeen), which curves away towards the east, along the east side. In consequence, the platform is very narrow at the south end and widens, to include the main station building, as you move north.

There's level access to each platform via the passage across the south end of the concourse.

There's tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

A new bridge has been installed near the south end of the station with the lift on the west side and steps on the east. Note that there's a set of steps up from each platform towards the bridge.

The Passage

From the east (platform 2) end, you go northwest down the slope, there's a blank door on the northeast side. The passage veers left (west) then levels out, the gap to the concourse is to your right (north). Continuing West, you go down the slope to platform 3.
