This is a through station on the line between Glasgow Queens Street and Edinburgh.

Layout

There are two separate platforms, running east/west with platform 1, eastbound towards Edinburgh, lying north of platform 2, westbound towards Glasgow Queen Street.

The ticket office is on platform 1, west of the middle, the stepped entrance is just east of this, whilst the ramp entrance is near the west end.

The entrance (ramp only) to platform 2 is west of the middle of the platform, just west of the waiting room.

The road bridge (Station Road) is about in the middle of the station, with the footbridge, a few metres east of this.

There is level access between the ticket office and platform 1 via the east entrance, though there is a small step up from the south.

Accessibility

There is ramp and stairs access throughout this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
