Follow the right-hand pavement down the slope, there are metal bollards on the left-hand side. The path veers right (1 o’clock) then veers back left. The verge retreats right, (leading to office doors and boiler house not for public access). Continue forwards and locate the wall of the building to your right. You pass the window of the ticket office before the double doorway to the booking hall. The ticket sales windows are to your right, continue forward, through the doors onto platform 1, you're about in the middle of the train
For platform 2, Turn left from the booking hall and continue along platform 1, past the end of the building and the steps up to the car park (to your left), to the steps to the bridge (in front of you). go up two flights of steps, turn right, continue to the end of the bridge and turn right again. Go down two flights of steps onto platform 2, you're near the rear of the train.
Follow the left-hand pavement down the slip road. The car park will be to your right. Locate the wooden gate on your left, go through this along a short path onto platform 2, you're at the rear of the train.
For platform 1, turn left and locate the steps to the bridge, for which you turn left (180 degrees). Go up two flights of steps, turn left and continue to the end of the bridge before turning left again, down two flights of steps onto the platform. You're near the front of the train.
