PLATFORM 1, WESTBOUND
This is a separate platform along the southeast side of the station serving westbound trains towards Glasgow. There is tactile paving along the edge of the platform.
There's level access to the southwest car park near the end of the platform. The major entrance is at the northeast end of the platform, providing level access to the northeast car park, plus ramp and stairs access to the bridge.
The area of platform lying northeast of the foot of the steps is gravelled and lies beyond the effective end of the platform.
The top of the ramp is just beyond (east of) the steps. The first slope is parallel to Station Road (east), turn right (almost 180 degrees, southwest) and go down the second slope to platform level, just southeast of the foot of the steps.
From the east end of the bridge, you go down 14, 16 then two steps, going southwest to platform level. Note that there's no rail to either side of these two steps.
There's level access to each car park. The entrances are near the respective end of the platform.
