Lines Served

This is a through station on the line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Layout

The tracks curve from north to east through the station, though for convenience we'll assume the station is oriented northeast/southwest.

The tracks run between separate platforms with platform 1, serving southbound trains towards Dundee and Edinburgh lying southeast of platform 2, serving northbound trains towards Aberdeen.

The ticket office is on platform 1, towards the rear of southbound trains. A subway from the ticket office provides stairs access between platforms.

There is step-free access to each platform from the local street network, see the Environs page for details.

Accessibility

There is stairs access through this station and step-free access to each platform. Note that step-free routes between platforms require a journey of about 400 metres, some users may find the initial slope up Dennis Roger Lane a bit steep.

We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
