From the Main Entrance

As you enter the station via either set of doors, the ticket sales windows are to your left and the ticket machines are on the opposite wall of the booking hall. The gate line is to your right, with the manual gate at the near end. The two automatic exit gates are at the far end of the gate line, nearest the ticket machines.

If you use the manual gate, go through then turn left and continue to the glass barrier before turning right onto the bridge. If you use the automatic gates, continue forwards onto the bridge.

To Which Platform?

  For Platforms 1 - 3
For Platforms 4 - 5
For Platforms 1 - 3, slow services to London Waterloo

Take the first turning left and go down two flights of steps. Continue for about 25 metres onto the platform. Platform 3 is to your right, you're at the rear of the train.
Note that platforms 1 and 2, which are not normally used, could also be reached from here. There is usually a metal fence separating platform 3 from 1 - 2.

Platform 5, Services, to Kingston, Reading and Shepperton

Take the second turning left and go down two flights of steps. Continue for about 25 metres onto the island platform. Platform 4 is to your left, you're at the rear of the train. Platform 5 is to your right, you're at the front of the train.

From the South Entrance

Go down the slope from London Road, into the station. There's a Permit to Travel machine on the left-hand wall, just beyond the foot of the slope.

Continue into the left passage over the bridge and take the turning right (which is a gap in the central barrier). Cross the right-hand passage and go down two flights of steps. Continue for about 25 metres onto the platform. Platform 3 is to your right, you're at the rear of the train.
Note that platforms 1 and 2, which are not normally used, could also be reached from here. There is usually a metal fence separating platform 3 from 1 - 2.
