If you're walking to the station from Waterbeach village, you should notice the level crossing in Station Road. At this point, the entrance to platform 1, southbound is just beyond the crossing on your right, go up the slope onto the platform. The entrance to platform 2, northbound is just before the crossing to your left, go up the slope onto the platform. In either case, you're at the rear of the train.
