Overview

Rather than describing the huge number of possibilities arising from 57 stances and seven exits, this page will merely explain the most likely options from each block of stances.

From Which Block?

Stances 1 to 22
Stances 23 to 32
Stances 33 to 47
Stances 48 to 57

Stances 1 to 22

These form the north block of stances, buses park facing northeast. As you get off the bus, into the covered area (stance 1 is open) the higher numbered stances are to your right (east). There's an audio unit beyond the end of the rail to your right, indicating which stance you're in. In the case of stance 1, this is on a pillar just inside the walkway to your right.

Convenient Options

Having moved north, out of the stance:

You can go up two flights of steps, going north from opposite stance 10 onto Cowcaddens Road.
You can turn left, continue beyond the covered area (stance 1 is already beyond this) and turn right as you reach the building, go up two flights of steps onto Cowcaddens Road. There's a REACT beacon outside the building at this point.
You can turn left and go into the concourse. There's a REACT beacon outside the entrance to the building. We suggest you continue (west) to the far side of the concourse before turning left and going south till you find the exit on your right. There's a REACT beacon on your right just before you reach this exit. Turn right, through two sets of automatic doors, onto the forecourt. From here, you can turn left towards Killermont Street, or turn right towards Cowcaddens Road, you can either go up the steps or cross this road via the underpass.
You can turn left, continue (west) to the building then turn left again. Continue (south) through the walkway onto Killermont Street.

Stances 23 to 32

These form the east block of stances, buses park facing east.

These stances are normally served by tour buses and, as such have no audio units. Turn right (east) from the bus, the higher numbered stances are to your right. Rather than tackle the crossings of the bus entry and exit roads, we suggest that, having moved (east) out of the stance, you turn left (north), continue to the passenger lounge building in front of you then turn left (west). There's a REACT beacon outside this building.

Continue (west) into the covered walkway past stances 22 to 1 (going west) and follow the instructions from stances 1 to 22.

Stances 33 to 47

These form the south block of stances, buses park facing southwest.

As you get off the bus, the higher numbered stances are to your right. There's an audio unit at the far end of the rail, to your right, separating the stances, this will tell you which stance you're in.

Convenient Options

Having moved (south) out of the stance, you can exit via one of the three exits into Killermont Street:

You can turn left, then right at the end of the walkway (stance 33), then right again into Killermont street. At the time of our survey, there was no REACT beacon at this exit.
You can move towards stance 41 then south and go through the exit, there's an information board opposite this exit, beware the bollard in the middle as you reach the pavement. There's a REACT beacon at this exit which wasn't working at the time of our survey.
You can turn right and continue, past stance 47, to the main building then turn left (south). There's a REACT beacon at the entrance to the main building.

You can leave via the concourse by turning right and continuing, past stance 47, to the main building. There's a REACT beacon at the entrance. Having entered the concourse, we suggest you continue (west) then turn right and follow the left-hand side till you reach the exit. There's a REACT beacon just beyond the exit. Turn left, through two sets of automatic doors, onto the forecourt. From here, you can turn left towards Killermont Street, or turn right towards Cowcaddens Road, you can either go up the steps or cross this road via the underpass.

Stances 48 to 57

These form the west block of stances, buses park facing west. As you get off the bus and turn right (west) the higher numbered stances are to your right. There's an audio unit at the far end of the rail, which separates stances, to your left, which will tell you which stance you're in. Note that the unit for stance 48 is on a pillar at the end of the walkway, just before you'd turn left towards stances 33 - 47.

Convenient Options

Having moved forward (west) out of the stance:

You can turn left and continue (south) to Killermont Street.
You can continue forward and locate one of the five entrances into the concourse. There's a REACT beacon outside the north and south entrances. Having entered the concourse, we suggest you follow the side of the concourse round till you locate the exit. There's a REACT beacon near the travel centre, which is just north of the exit. Continue, through two sets of automatic doors, onto the forecourt. From here, you can turn left towards Killermont Street, or turn right towards Cowcaddens Road, you can either go up the steps or cross this road via the underpass.
You can turn right and continue (north) up two flights of steps onto Cowcaddens Road. There's a REACT beacon outside the building to your left, just before the foot of the steps.
