Hamilton bus station is located in a rectangular area bounded by Station Road (East), Brandon Street (West). Between Quarry Street (North) and the bus station is a steep hill with no access. Between Orchard Street (South)and the bus station is a municipal car park.
The main entrance leads east from Brandon Street in to the open plan concourse. The Main entrance has a large free standing, triangular block in the centre, with digital information screens.
The forecourt can also be reached from the east, from Station Road.
Across from the main entrance is a tactile paved, pedestrian controlled crossing with sounder and rotating cone. Posts to the right on both sides.
Approximately 50metres south is another tactile paved, pedestrian controlled crossing with sounder and rotating cone.
There is a courtesy crossing point.
There is a bus access road a few metres after the tour lounge. There is a courtesy crossing point.
