Overview

The doors will open as follows, as you face the front of the train:

  1. Circle Line clockwise, towards Tower Hill - right,
  2. Metropolitan Line - left,
  3. Metropolitan Line - right and
  4. Circle Line anti-clockwise towards Liverpool Street - right.

Please note that, if you arrive on a Metropolitan Line train on platform 2 and want to continue via the Circle Line via Tower Hill, you merely need to cross the platform. The Metropolitan Line trains are longer than the Circle Line ones, so we suggest you do this towards the middle of the platform. There is a barrier from each end of platform 1 to the ends of the train.

Similarly, if you arrive from Tower Hill and want the Metropolitan Line, you may be able to cross to platform 3.

Otherwise, you'll leave each platform via steps in either direction onto the bridge. There is no tactile paving along the edge of the platforms.

From Which Platform?

  From Platforms 1 - 2, Clockwise
From Platforms 3 - 4, Anti-Clockwise

From Platforms 1 - 2, Clockwise

Go towards the middle of the train and locate the steps, then go up two flights of steps onto the bridge.

If you went up towards the front of the train, continue to the top of the steps in front of you, to avoid the planters, then turn right.

If you went up towards the rear of the train, turn left.

Continue, across the foot of the steps up to the concourse. From here, you can either take the turning left or turn right. In either case, you go down two flights of steps to platform level.

If you turned left, platform 3, Metropolitan Line, is to your left, you're about in the middle of the train, whilst platform 4, Circle Line towards Liverpool Street, is to your right, you're beside the rear half of the train.

If you turned right, platform 3, Metropolitan Line, is to your right, you're about in the middle of the train, whilst platform 4, Circle Line towards Liverpool Street is to your left, you're beside the front half of the train.
