Overview

The doors will open as follows, as you face the front of the train:

  1. Circle Line clockwise, towards Tower Hill - right,
  2. Metropolitan Line - left,
  3. Metropolitan Line - right and
  4. Circle Line anti-clockwise towards Liverpool Street - right.

You leave each platform via steps in either direction onto the bridge, then by another set of steps to the concourse. There is no tactile paving along the edge of the platforms.

From Platforms 1 - 2, Clockwise

Go towards the middle of the train and locate the steps, then go up two flights of steps onto the bridge.

If you went up towards the front of the train, continue to the top of the steps down, in front of you then turn right and locate the foot of the steps to the concourse on your left.

If you went up towards the rear of the train, turn left then locate the steps to the concourse on your left.

Continue through the concourse.

From Platforms 3 - 4, Anti-Clockwise

Go towards the middle of the train and locate the steps, then go up two flights of steps onto the bridge.

If you went up towards the front of the Metropolitan Line (or rear of the Circle Line) train, continue to the top of the steps down, in front of you then turn left and locate the foot of the steps to the concourse on your right.

If you went up towards the rear of the Metropolitan (or front of the Circle Line) train, turn right then locate the steps to the concourse on your right.

The steps to the concourse are divided into four sections. If you want the manual gate, move to the right-hand section, otherwise, for the automatic gates, move to the left. Go up a flight of steps then continue, through the gates, to the exit.

Note that the left-hand two exit gates are offset towards the exit from the rest of the gate line. There's a barrier on your right as you approach these gates.
