GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is a through sation on the City Branch of the Northern Line which runs approximately east/west through the station.
There is one island platform with platform 1, southbound (trains run east towards Moorgate), lying north of platform 2, northbound (trains run west towards King's Cross).
We understand that the longest escalators in Europe, outside Moscow, join the concourse to an intermediate level. This intermediate level is a passage between these upper escalators and the much shorter, lower escalators to platform level.
Note, there is only escalator access throughout this station, though the concourse is at pavement level, offering step free access.
