Overview

There is step-free access between the Street Level Concourse, Silvertown Way, the unnamed road and the bus station. There is stairs and lift access between the Bow Creek entrance and the Main Concourse.

There is lift, stairs and escalator access between the Street Level and Main Concourse. There is also lidt, stairs and escalator access between the Main Concourse, the Jubilee Line, platforms 5 - 6 and platforms 3 - 4, DLR. There is stairs and lift access between the Main Concourse and platforms 1 - 2, DLR.

There is tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

From Street Level

From the Bus Station

As you come into the Street Level Concourse, the escalators are in front of you. If you want to use the lift, move to the right-hand side and find the lift on your right. If you want to use the steps, continue past the lift then turn back at the end of the stairwell, on your left.

From the Unnamed road

Continue forward to the escalator/stairwell, in front of you. If you want the escalator, turn right then turn back at the end of the barrier on your left.

If you want the lift, turn left at the end of the barrier, continue to the wall then turn left and find the lift on your right.

If you want to use the steps, turn left, continue to the end of the barrier on your right then turn right then right again to reach the left-hand section of the steps.

From Silvertown Way

The steps are in front of you.

If you want the lift or escalator, turn left, continue to the wall then turn right. You'll find the lift door on your left.

If you want the escalator, continue to the end of the barrier on your right then turn right then right again for the left-hand escalator.

To the Main Concourse

Via the Lift

The call button is to your right as you face the door. Go down to Level -1, Concourse, leave via the same door and continue along the passage and take the turning left towards the gate line. Continue through the gates.

Via the Escalator

The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need. Go down to Level -1, Concourse, turn left into the passage then take the turning left towards the gate line. Continue through the gates.

Via the Steps

Go down a flight of steps, turn left (180 degrees), go down the second flight then turn left again (180 degrees) and go down the third flight of steps to Level -1, Concourse.

Turn right into the passage then take the turning left towards the gate line. Continue through the gates.

From the Bow Creek Entrance

Details of this entrance weren't available at the time of our survey, but we noticed lift and stairs access via this entrance. You go through double doors, facing east into the Main Concourse. Cross the area to your right then turn right and continue to the gate line, in front of you.

The ticket sales windows, including a Tensa queuing system are to your left. The gate line is in front of you with the Wide Aisle entrance at the left-hand end and the automatic entrances to your right of this. Go through the gates.

To Which Platform?

  To Platforms 1 - 2, DLR
To Platforms 3 - 4, DLR
To Platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line

To Platforms 1 - 2, DLR

There's a lift and two sets of steps to these platforms. The nearest set of steps is to your left of the left-hand passage, whilst the lift and second set of steps are in the left-hand passage itself.

Via the Steps

For convenience, we'll only include directions via the near set of steps, which bring you to the near end of the platforms.

Continue, past the assistance box on your left, turn left and continue to the wall, in front of you. The steps are now to your right. Turn right and go up three flights of steps to platform level. Platform 1, serving trains towards Beckton is to your left, you're near the rear of the train. Platform 2, serving trains towards Bank or Tower Gateway is to your right, you're near the front of the train.

Via the Lift

Continue forward into the passage to your left of the escalators, take the turning left then find the lift door on your left. The call button is to your left of the door. Go up to platform level and leave via the same door. Platform 1, serving trains towards Beckton is to your left, we believe you're beside the rear half of the train. Platform 2, serving trains towards Bank or Tower Gateway is to your right, we believe you're beside the front half of the train.

To Platforms 3 - 4, DLR

There is escalator, stairs and lift access to these platforms.

The escalators (7 - 8) in front of you lead to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line, but you'll have to walk along the platform to the first of two sets of escalators and steps to platforms 3 - 4. We suggest, therefore, that you go into the passage to your right of escalators 7 - 8. The escalators (5 - 6) from this passage lead up, opposite the foot of escalators 1 - 2 to platforms 3 - 4.

The steps to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line are at the far end of the concourse. We understand the spiral steps beyond the top of these are an emergency exit, so we suggest you then turn back for the central steps between escalators 1 - 2.

The lift goes directly to platforms 3 - 4, Level 1.

Via the Escalators

Move to your right then continue into the passage to your right of the escalators in front of you. Take the turning left. The lift is to your left, whilst escalators 5 - 6 are to your right. Turn right, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, go up to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line. Continue, to escalators 1 - 2, in front of you. Again, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, go up to platforms 3 - 4, DLR. Platform 3, serving trains towards Beckton and Woolwich Arsenal is to your left, we believe you're beside the front half of the train. Platform 4, serving trains towards Bank or Tower Gateway is to your right, we believe you're beside the rear half of the train.

Via the Lift

Move to your right then continue into the passage to your right of the escalators in front of you. Take the turning left. The lift is to your left, the call button is to your right of the door. Go up to level D (DLR) and leave via the same door. Platform 3, for trains towards Beckton or Woolwich Arsenal is to your left, we believe you're about in the middle of the train. Platform 4, for trains towards Bank or Tower Gateway is to your right, we believe you're about in the middle of the train.

Via the Steps

Move to your right then continue into the passage to your right of the escalators in front of you. Pass the turning to the lift and escalators 5 - 6 on your left and continue to the wall in front of you. Turn left then take the turning right for the steps.

These steps are divided by a central rail, we understand you're asked to keep left. Go up three flights of steps to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line. Turn back (180 degrees) and continue to the next gap between platforms. You need to turn back again, within this gap, to the steps between escalators 1 - 2. You then go up two flights of steps to platforms 3 - 4, DLR. Platform 3, serving trains towards Beckton or Woolwich Arsenal is to your left, we believe you're beside the front half of the train. Platform 4, serving trains toward Bank or Tower Gateway is to your right, we believe you're beside the rear half of the train.

To Platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line

There is escalator, stairs and lift access to these platforms.

The escalators (7 - 8) in front of you lead to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line.

The steps to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line are at the far end of the concourse.

The lift goes directly to platform 5 - 6, Level 0.

Via the Escalators

Continue to escalators 7 - 8, in front of you. The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, go up to platform level. Platform 5, serving trains towards Stanmore is to your left, we believe you're beside the rear of the train. Platform 6, serving trains towards Stratford is to your right, we believe you're beside the front of the train.
