Lines Served

This is a through station on the London Underground, Jubilee Line and on the DLR.

This station is established on three levels:

Street Level, Level 0

This level includes the Street Level Concourse, which lies east of platforms 1 - 2, DLR and 5 - 6, Jubilee Line.

The Street Level Concourse is a rectangular space with the entrance from Silvertown Way on the north, an unnamed road along the west side and the Canning Town Bus Station to the south. The well for the steps (from the north) and escalators 9 - 10 (from the south), to the Main Concourse is in the middle of this space, whilst the lift to the Main Concourse is on the east side.

Platforms 1 - 2 are an island platform running north/south with platform 1, serving trains towards Beckton lying east of platform 2, serving trains towards Bank or Tower Gateway.

Platforms 5 - 6 are an island platform running north/south with platform 5, serving trains towards Stanmore lying east of platform 6, serving trains towards Stratford.

Level 1, Platforms 3 - 4, DLR

This is an island platform running north/south, above platforms 5 - 6. Platform 3, serving trains towards Beckton or Woolwich Arsenal lies east of platform 4, serving trains toward Bank or Tower Gateway.

Level -1, the Main Concourse

This includes the whole section of the station at Level -1.

The area outside the gates is an L-shaped space with the north leg running east/west and the west leg leading south towards the gates.

The north leg leads west from the entrances from Silvertown Way and the bus station at the east end, to the entrance from Bow Creek at the west.

The area inside the gates includes two parallel passages leading south. The east passage gives stairs and lift access to platform 1 - 2, DLR, whilst the west passage gives lift and escalator access to platforms 5 - 6, Jubilee Line. These passages are joined at the north end (just inside the gates) and at the south end, from which there is stairs access to platforms 5 - 6.

Note that platforms 3 - 4, DLR are reached via the lift from the west passage or via escalators or steps from platforms 5 - 6.

There is stairs and step-free access through this station. We therefore believe the station is accessible to Guide Dog and wheelchair users.
