CHANGE PLATFORMS

Describe Online

Overview

There are two island platforms, 1 - 2 and 3 - 4. From 13 December 2009, these will normally serve:

  1. Circle and Hammersmith & City lines eastbound
  2. Circle Line terminus, trains return via High Street Kensington
  3. District Line terminus
  4. Circle and Hammersmith & City lines westbound, trains continue to Hammersmith

The more likely changes within this station will merely require crossing an island platform, though you can move between island platforms via either bridge. Perhaps the easiest to find would be the west bridge, which is off the west end of each platform, that is behind the rear of eastbound or terminating trains and beyond the front of westbound services.

The doors will open as follows, as you face the front of the train:

There's no tactile paving along the edge of the platforms, though barriers extend between the end of the train and the foot of the steps towards the west bridge.
