The station is located on the west side of Station Place which runs north/south between Seven Sisters Road, which runs approximately southwest and Stroud Green Road, which runs approximately northwest past the station. Wells Terrace runs northeast/southwest along the northern limits of the station.
The Underground station has three entrances/exits. Se the Passage to Underground page for details of the layout of these.
The entrance to the mainline station leads north beyond the ticket sales windows on the west side of Station Place.
The Station Place entrance to the Underground station and the entrance to the mainline station used to leave from the east concourse. This area has now been opened up to effectively widen the pavement on the west side of Station Place.
This is the south end of the passage running from here to the north concourse. There are no ticket sales facilities at this entrance, though there are several Oyster card readers on each side of the passage between here and the platforms.
There are two entrances/exits from Wells Terrace. One, divided by a pillar, leads into the north concourse, this is the main entrance to the Underground station with ticket sales windows and machines. The other leads directly into the passage leading towards the Seven Sisters Road exit.
Traffic flows one way, from south to north, that is from your right as you cross away from the station.
The crossing is towards the north end of Station Place, beyond Bus Stop G. This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving. There's a post with push button and rotating cone to each side of you as you cross in either direction.
The crossing is beside (southwest of) the junction with Station Place. This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving. The post, with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction.
Turn left from the Seven Sisters Road exit and walk about 25 metres to locate the stop, on your right.
Cross at the junction with Station Place and turn right, continue for a few metres.
Turn right from the exit, continue to the corner, turn right and locate the tactile paving indicating the crossing. There is no control of this crossing. Traffic is restricted to 10 MPH and is one way from your left.
There are three bus bays on the opposite side of this side street, labelled C, B and A, as you move along the street, away from the station exit.
There's a taxi rank in Station Place, just outside the exit from the mainline station.
This used to include what we called the east concourse. This has now been opened up and, though there's a canopy over the station entrance, the walls have been removed so the entrances to the Underground and mainline station are directly off Station Place.
