BUY MY TICKET
If you intend to be a regular traveller on London Transport, We suggest you obtain an Oyster card, this is cheaper and easier to use, visit www.tfl.gov.uk/oyster for more details. I've even arranged for my card to be topped up automatically when the balance falls below a set level, so you don't even have to worry about how much money you have in it!
There are card readers in each Underground station and on the buses. These are a round attachment to the automatic and manual gates - you simply place the card (in its wallet) over the reader and hear a suitable beep whilst the gate opens for you. You must, however, remember to "swipe" your card at your destination as well, otherwise you'll be charged the maximum fare.
In this station, we found one reader on the left-hand side of the first pillar on your left as you come into the station. This is just beyond the escalator and lift entrance from the shopping mall.
We found ticket machines at Concourse Level, we believe these are not accessible to blind/vision impaired people so, if you don't have a Freedom Pass, we suggest you get an Oyster card before using this service.
