Overview

Platform 1, westbound, is a separate, through platform running along the east side of the station. Platform 2 - 3 is an island platform with the through platform 2, eastbound, lying east of the terminus platform 3. Platform 4 is also an island platform which only serves the terminus track 4 along the west side, a rail along the east separates this platform from track 3.

Platforms 2 - 3 and 4 are joined by a walkway across the end of track 3.

There is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.

Platform 1, Westbound

To Reach

There are two routes to this platform from the bridge. One leading north towards the rear of the train, the other south towards the middle. In each case, you go down 16 then 15 steps to platform level then turn away from the wall onto the platform.

Platform 1, From the South

A row of pillars supporting the canopy runs along the middle of the platform.

Platforms 2 - 3

To Reach

From the bridge, go down 15 then 16 steps, going south. There are no equivalent steps from the north.

From the South

This is an island platform with the through (eastbound) platform 2, lying east of the terminus platform 3. Platform 3 serves trains between here and Kensington Olympia.

On platform 3, the rear of the train is just south of the square building towards the north end of the platform. There’s a blank wall beside the steps to the bridge.

Platform 4

To Reach

There are narrow steps from the bridge, go down 15 steps, going south, the passage gets narrower, go down 16 steps, going south onto the platform.

The Platform

This is a single island platform with a rail along the east side between the platform and track 3. The single track 4, is west of the platform.

There is no tactile paving along the edge of the platform.

This is a terminus platform for the District Line, which is seldom used. There’s a row of pillars along the middle of the platform. The only other feature of interest is the walkway from the north end, beyond the end of track 3, onto the island platform 2 – 3.
