Describe Online

Location

The station is located under Knightsbridge (east/west), which is a dual carriageway with a central reservation.

Entrances and Exits

There are two entrances/exits from the ticket hall, which we'll call the north and east exits, which give level access to the subway.

The subway consists of a main passage running north/south under Knightsbridge, from which a passage leads west from the north end towards Exit 1. At the south end of the passage is a T-junction with the east leg leading to Exit 2, whilst the west leg leads past Exit 3 (to the south) to Exit 4.

The four entrances/exits are described below:

Exit 1

From the north side of Knightsbridge, you can go via steps or ramp into the station.

Via the Steps

You go down 14 then 14 steps, going east into the subway. Take the turning right into the north exit.

Via the Ramp

Go down the ramp, which is north of the steps, going east, into the subway then take the first turning right into the north entrance.

Exit 2

From the central reservation, you can use the ramp which goes all the way to the subway, or the steps, which take you part way. The steps are south of the ramp.

Via the Ramp

You go down the first slope, going west. The slope levels then continues down west into the subway. Turn right (north) then take the first turning left into the east entrance.

Via the Steps

You go down 14 then 14 steps, going west then continue down the second half of the ramp, mentioned above.

Exit 3

From the South side of Knightsbridge, you go down 16 steps, going south. Turn right (180 degrees, north) then go down seven steps, going north into the subway. turn right (east) then left (north) and take the first turning left into the east entrance.

Exit 4

From the south side of Knightsbridge, you go down a ramp, going east into the subway. The slope levels out, you pass Exit 3 on your right before turning left (north) then taking the first left turn into the east entrance.

Local Road Crossings

This is a busy dual carriageway, we found no pedestrian controlled crossings during our survey and suggest you cross the road via the subway described above.

Note that there's ramp access through this subway, between each side of Knightsbridge and the central reservation.
