Overview

Although there is ramp access between street level and the subway, there is stairs or escalator access between the ticket hall and the platforms.

The station has a single island platform with tactile paving along each edge.

From the Entrances

From Exit 1

From the Hyde Park side of Knightsbridge, you can either go down two flights of steps, or the ramp, into the subway.

If you use the steps, turn right at the bottom then take the first turning right into the ticket hall.

If you use the ramp, turn right at the bottom then continue past the foot of the steps, on your right then take the turning right into the ticket hall.

Continue to the platforms.

From Exit 2

From the central reservation in the dual carriageway, you can go down the ramp, all the way, or down two flights of steps. Note that the steps join the ramp at the bottom of the first slope. Continue down the second slope into the subway, turn right at the bottom then take the first turning left and continue into the ticket hall.

Continue to the platforms.

From Exit 3

From the south side of Knightsbridge, you turn away from the road, go down a flight of steps, turn right (180 degrees) then go down seven steps, into the subway. Turn right at the bottom, take the turning left then turn left again and continue into the ticket hall.

Continue to the platforms.

From Exit 4

You go down the ramp into the subway, pass the steps from Exit 3 on your right then take the turning left. Turn left again and continue into the ticket hall.

The ticket sales windows are on the left-hand side and there's a Wide Aisle entrance at the left-hand end of the gate line, in front of you. Go through the gates.

The escalators, with central steps are in front of you. At the time of our survey, the left-hand escalator wasn't in use, however we presume the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, though for the time being, you may have to use the steps.

If you use the steps, you go down seven times 17 steps to platform level.

At the foot of the escalators, turn left for platform 2, westbound, we believe you're near the rear of the train. Ideally, take the second turning right for platform 1, eastbound, we believe you're near the front.
