There's stairs access between street level and the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines at all times. There is also stairs access between the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines at all times.

Stairs access between street level and the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines is via the Pentonville Road entrance/exit which is open Monday to Friday 07:00 to 20:00. Only during these hours, therefore, is there stairs access throughout this station.

Note that the old passage between the Piccadilly Line and the Pentonville road exit is now closed and is replaced by a new passage leading to the Level -2 passage from the Northern Concourse. There is lift access between here, the Piccadilly and victoria lines.
