Overview

Perhaps the quietest route into this station would be from one of the Old Broad Street entrances, where you'd bypass the crowded Network Rail concourse. This presumes, however, that you have an Oyster card or other valid ticket, as we found no operational sales windows during our survey. There are ticket machines inside the north entrance, from the corner, but these are inaccessible to vision impaired people.

From Liverpool Street Mainline Station, you'd normally enter the Underground station via the steps down from the concourse for all platforms, though between 07:00 and 20:30 Monday to Friday, you could reach the Central Line via either of the entrances beside the mainline platforms. We see little sense in using these entrances to reach the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines, though it could be done, via two escalator journeys.

From the Main Entrance, South of the Network Rail Concourse

As you come down the ten steps into the Underground concourse, the ticket sales windows are on the far side to your left, with the Wide Aisle entrance and automatic entrances to your right of these. Go through the gates.
