FIND THE EXIT FROM A PLATFORM

DESCRIBE ONLINE

Overview

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. There's tactile paving along the edge of each platform.

The exit is the second gap from the rear of northbound trains, the first from the rear of southbound. We express it in this way as the entrance and exit are near the rear of the northbound trains, whilst for the southbound, the exit is near the rear and the entrance is beside the front half of the train.

From the Northbound, Platform 1

Go into the second gap from the rear of the train, turn right and go up a flight of steps to the intermediate level. Turn right and follow the passage, which veers right and right again to the foot of the escalators. The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, alternatively you can walk up the 121 steps to the concourse.

Continue, forward through the gates. The exit gates are towards the left-hand end of the gate line, whilst the manual gate is at the right-hand end. Continue forward into the mainline concourse

GO TO END

From the Southbound, Platform 2

Go into the gap nearest the rear of the train, turn right and go up a flight of steps to the intermediate level and turn left. Follow the passage, which veers right and right again to the foot of the escalators. The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, alternatively you can walk up the 121 steps to the concourse.

Continue, forward through the gates. The exit gates are towards the left-hand end of the gate line, whilst the manual gate is at the right-hand end. Continue forward into the mainline concourse
