From the Entrance to the Gate Line

From the east entrance on the south side of Notting Hill Gate, go down two flights of stairs and turn right (180 degrees) into the concourse.
From the west entrance on the south side of Notting Hill Gate, go down two flights of stairs turn left then immediately right into the concourse.
From the east entrance on the north side of Notting Hill Gate, go down two flights of stairs, take the turning left then go up four steps before turning left into the concourse.
From the west exit on the north side of Notting Hill Gate, go down two flights of stairs, take the turning right, go up four steps before turning left into the concourse.

As you enter the concourse, the gate line is about 20 metres in front of you, the manual gate and ticket sales booths are to your right of the gate line. At the time of our survey, the entrance gates were to the left though this is probably to be changed when repairs to the upwards escalator are complete. Go through the gates.

Turn right for the Circle and District Lines, platforms 1 - 2, continue forward, to the escalators for the Central Line, platforms 3 - 4.

To Platform 1, Circle Line, Westbound
To Platform 2, Circle Line, Eastbound
To Platform 3, Central Line, Eastbound
To Platform 4, Central Line, Westbound

To Platform 1, Circle Line, Westbound

Continue to the end before turning left, go down one flight of stairs then turn right. Go down another flight of stairs onto the platform. You're near the rear of the train.

To Platform 2, Circle Line, Eastbound

Continue to the end before turning right, go down one flight of stairs then turn left. Go down another flight of stairs onto the platform. You're near the front of the train.

To Platform 3, Central Line, Eastbound

Take the escalator or stairs down to the second level. Continue to the wall in front of you before turning left. Continue to the wall before turning left again, go forward and take the escalator or stairs down to the third level.

Continue forwards and take the escalator to the fourth level. Continue forward, following the wall as it curves left, onto the platform. You're near the front of the train.
Alternatively, whilst at the third level, take either the second or third passage on your left and turn right before you reach platform 4. Go down three flights of stairs before turning left onto the platform at the front of the train.

To Platform 4, Central Line, Westbound

Go forwards, a few metres from the foot of the escalator before turning left. You should take either the second or third passage on your left onto the platform. You're near the rear of the train.
