There is escalator only access between each concourse and the intermediate level and between the intermediate and platform levels from the main concourse. There is stairs access between all platforms and between all platforms and the exit section of the intermediate level.
There are two pairs of escalators between here and the intermediate level which, in this section of the station is divided into two halves. The right-hand (east) half gives access to the Central Line and southbound platforms, whilst the left-hand (west) half gives access to the northbound. There is a pair of escalators serving each half. We understand that, during peak periods, all these escalators are going down, whilst at other times, the left-hand escalator of each pair is normally the one you'll need.
There's a pair of escalators from each half of this area to the northbound and southbound platforms, respectively. We understand that, during peak times, both escalators of each pair will be downwards, whilst at other times the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need.
There's a pair of escalators from the east half of this section towards the Central Line, again, the left-hand one is normally the one you need. Note that these escalators don't reach platform level, you need to go down 20 steps from the foot of the escalators to the island platform.
There are three escalators (one pair, one single) from here to the exit concourse. This is an exit only, so all escalators from this section will be upwards.
There's a pair of upward escalators into the exit concourse from above the Central Line platforms, note you have to go up at least 22 steps from platform level to reach the foot of these escalators.
