To enter the station, go up two steps into the concourse. The ticket sales booth is to the left hand side of the concourse, with the manual and automatic entrance gates towards the left hand end of the gate line which is in front of you. Note that the entrance gates are set at an angle, so you go through facing 1:30 rather than 12:00, then turn left to your previous direction. Go through the gates.
Continue forwards to locate the entrances to the two lifts, or the passage to the spiral staircase, which is to the left of these.
Continue into the passage, go down one flight of stairs then follow the outer wall which curves round to your left. You go down six flights of spiral stairs (anti-clockwise). From the foot of the spiral stairs, take the first turning on your right, which is the entrance passage. Go to the wall and turn left. Take the turn right and go down a flight of stairs into the middle of the island platform. Platform 1, westbound is to your left, platform 2 to your right. You're about in the middle of the train.
The lifts are automatically operated with an audible indication that the doors are open. enter the lift. Note that the exit doors will also be open. At the bottom, continue forward to the wall and turn left. Take the turning right and go down one flight of stairs into the middle of the island platform. Platform 1, westbound is to your left, platform 2 to your right. You're about in the middle of the train.
