The station is located south of the point where the Central Line (north/south) passes under George Lane, which runs north then curves west beyond the station.
There are two concourses to this station, one from each platform.
There are two exits from the eastbound concourse onto a triangular forecourt at the end of a side street, which leads from the point where George Lane West meets the viaduct over the Central Line, adjacent to number 95.
There are three gates from the westbound concourse into George Lane East, which runs north past the station.
There is a Zebra crossing immediately outside the middle entrance from the westbound concourse. George Lane, Nos. 94 downwards are to your right, the viaduct to your left. If you cross the Zebra crossing and turn left, you enter Mulberry Way. Note that traffic comes one way, from your right. Tactile paving extends from the middle exit from the concourse to this crossing.
There is a subway to the north of the station, affording step free crossing to the eastbound, platform 2 and access, via stairs, to the viaduct. There is no step-free access to the westbound, platform 1.
