Overview

There are five lifts in this station:

A sounder indicates that the lift is approaching and there are clear, spoken announcements. An induction loop is also fitted.

The Olympic Square Exit

The Lower Level

The call button (up only) is to your left (west) of the door. To your right of the door (east) are seats, up two steps. You enter facing north.

At Concourse Level

You go into a short passage leading west from the southwest corner of the concourse. There's a help point on the left-hand (south) wall and a seat on the right-hand (north) wall, opposite the lift door. You turn left into a short passage, towards the lift door. The call button (down only) is to your right (west) of the door. You enter facing south.

Inside the Lift

The controls are to your left as you enter from Olympic Square, to your right as you enter from the concourse. From the top: 2 concourse (ticket hall) and 0 Olympic Square (car park). Below these, from the left: Alarm, Open and Close.

Between the Concourse and Platform 1

At Concourse Level

The lift is in a separate structure opposite the steps to platform 1, the call button (down only) is to your right of the door, you enter facing northwest.

At Platform Level

The lift is in the second recess from the rear end of the platform, before the steps to the concourse. The call button (up only) is to your left of the door, you enter facing southeast.

Inside the Lift

The controls are on your right as you enter from platform level, to your left as you enter from the concourse. From the top: 0(exit level), -1 (platform level) then a row of three from left to right: alarm, open and close.

Between the Concourse and Platforms 2 - 3

At Concourse Level

The lift is in a separate structure opposite the steps to platforms 2 - 3, the call button (down only) is to your right of the door, you enter facing northwest.

At Platform Level

The lift is on the right-hand side of the passage behind the steps from the concourse, as you move away from platform 2. The call button (up only) is to your left of the door, you enter facing southeast.

Inside the Lift

The controls are on each side of the lift, from the top: 0 (concourse level), -1, (platform level) then a row of three: alarm, open and close.

Between the Concourse and Platforms 4 - 5

At Concourse Level

The lift is in a recess in the right-hand (northeast) side of the concourse as you enter the station. The call button (down only) is to your right of the door. You enter facing northwest.

At Platform Level

The lift is located in the passage under the steps from the concourse. The call button (up only) is to your left of the door, you enter facing southeast.

Inside the Lift

The controls are on each side of the lift, from the top: 0 (concourse level), -1, (platform level) then a row of three: alarm, open and close.

Between the Concourse and Platform 6

At Concourse Level

The lift is located in a recess to your right of the steps. The call button (down only) is to your right of the door. You enter facing northwest.

At Platform Level

The lift is located in a recess behind the steps from the concourse. The call button (up only) is to your left of the door. You enter facing southeast.

Inside the Lift

The controls are on each side of the lift, from the top: 0 (concourse level), -1, (platform level) then a row of three: alarm, open and close.
