ESCALATORS

Describe Online

Overview

The escalators in this station form two groups, one links the Jubilee and District/Circle lines, whilst the other links the Jubilee Line to the concourse. It is important to know which group you're using to avoid confusion and inconvenience. We hope the following summary proves helpful:

In all groups, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need.

From the Concourse

There are three sets of escalators in this group:

  1. Three escalators running north/south between the concourse and the east section of the interchange level.
  2. Three escalators running east/west between the east section of the interchange level and the west well of the eastbound Jubilee Line.
  3. Two escalators running east/west between the west well of the eastbound Jubilee Line and the east well of the westbound.

From the District/Circle Line

Separate sets of escalators join the platforms to the interchange level, folowed by two sets from the interchange level to the Jubilee Line:

  1. Two escalators running northeast/southwest between the westbound District/Circle Line and the west section of the interchange level.
  2. Two escalators running northeast/southwest between the eastbound District/Circle Line and the west section of the interchange level.
  3. Three escalators running east/west between the west section of the interchange level and the east well of the eastbound Jubilee Line.
  4. Two escalators running east/west between the east well of the eastbound Jubilee and the west well of the westbound.
