We'll consider this space as being on three levels. It is the rectangular space including the lift shaft round which the stairs go either up to the first floor or down to the Lower Ground level.
You enter from Reception, facing west.

From Reception, go through the doors into the Lift Area, move to the right-hand wall then go forward down nine steps, turn left, go down 11 steps, then turn left again and go down three steps to the Lower Ground Level.
From Reception, go through the doors into the Lift Area, move to the left-hand wall then continue forward, up a flight of steps. Turn right, go up a flight of steps then turn right again and go up another flight of steps, to first floor level. At the time of writing there is no exhibition space allocated on this level.
The door is to your right of the foot of the stairs in front of you as you enter the space from Reception. The call buttons (up and down) are to your right of the door as you face the lift. You enter facing north.
You leave the lift facing south. As you face the lift door, the call button (up) is to your right of the door.
You leave the lift facing south, as you face the lift, the call button (down) is to your right of the door. At the time of writing, there is no exhibition space allocated on this level.
The controls are on the right-hand side as you enter. From the top: Alarm, 1, G, BT and open doors. The buttons are marked in embossed print.
A sounder indicates that the lift is arriving and there are clear, spoken announcements.
