T&T Consultancy at Sight Village 2008

We are delighted to be at Sight Village 2008 and our presence at the event this year is bigger and better than ever before! You can visit us in Room G3 or at our stand in Hall D to learn about our latest technology innovations, our seminars and well-known Sight Village Podcast.

• Download music, audio books or Podcasts to your computer an iPod with the help of J-Tunes, linking JAWS for Windows and iTunes together via a simple and easy to use interface!
• Learn about low cost computer training possibilities with our new in-house and remote ETraining courses and solutions!
• Compare the functionality of blindness specific “Notetakers” by talking to our staff who both train people and use the products!
• Take part in our free Internet Podcast which has received thousands of visitors during 2006 and 2007!
• Plus, you can see a wide range of screen-readers, screen magnification and scanning packages together with popular Braille displays.

In Room G3

We will be presenting three hour-long seminars – one on each day of the event starting at 10.00 AM:

• Tuesday: “Voice Input/Output for Beginners”. This seminar is for people who have not previously experienced the ability of being able to talk to a computer and control it by voice, benefiting from speech or magnification output.
• Wednesday: “Voice Recognition Beyond the basics – Bookmarks, Shortcuts and Audio Transcription”. This presentation is for people who have a basic awareness of voice input/output technology but want to learn about the advanced new features of J-Say Pro. Of particular interest is that people can now dictate into a portable recorder, such as Humanware’s Victor Reader Stream, and the computer will accurately transcribe the text into a document or Email message!
• Thursday: “J-Tunes and Beyond”. Our final seminar is an introduction to using our J-Tunes product to download music and Podcasts, but we will also demonstrate other music downloading services and portable media players.

The seminars are an ideal way for you to learn about these exciting areas of technology in a quiet environment, to see it working first-hand and to ask questions.
