The station is on the east side of Byres Road, north of Ashton Lane and just a few metres north of the Iceland store.
There's a single entrance, with a canopy over the pavement, on the east side of Byres Road. There are two bollards on the pavement outside this entrance. You go up a slight slope into the booking hall. This entrance can be closed by two large, metal gates.
There's a crossing of Byres Road, about 30 metres north of the station entrance. This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving and sounder. The post, with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you cross in either direction. the west side of this crossing is a few metres north of Ruthven Street.
