FIND THE PLATFORM FROM AN ENTRANCE
As you enter the station from Scotland Street, cross the booking hall, turn left and follow the wall to locate the recess to your right. The ticket sales window is in this recess.
If you enter the booking hall from the forecourt, follow the right-hand wall and locate the recess to your right. The ticket sales window is in this recess.
Holders of concessionary cards (disabled and over 60) are required to buy either a 90P single or £1.30 return concession ticket, whilst blind people with passes are encouraged to collect a free ticket from the sales window. The free tickets are single journey tickets which operate the automatic gates.
Turn left from the ticket sales window, the automatic entrance gates are at the right-hand end of the gate line, with the manual gate to your left of these. Go through the gates.
You can either go down the right-hand escalator or the two flights of steps between the escalators. There's corduroy tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps.
Turn left at the foot of the escalators or steps and follow the passage, which turns left then left again. After a short landing, you go down a flight of steps onto the platform. There's corduroy tactile paving at the top and bottom of these steps.
The outer circle is to your right, you're near the front of the train, whilst the inner circle is to your left, you're near the rear. There's tactile paving 50 cm from each edge of the platform.
