THE CIRCULATING AREA |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This consists of two parallel passages running from the Northern Line Charing Cross Branch (platforms 1 - 2) to the escalators between the circulating area and platforms 3 - 4. Note that platforms 5 - 6 lie between 1 - 2 and 3 - 4.
The passages are crossed by four intersections.
People are expected to move clockwise through the circulating area. Hence, when turning left you take the first passage; when turning right, take the second.
The circulating area is now described in detail from the foot of the downward escalator from the underground concourse. The features of the other intersections are listed clockwise from the entrance to that area.
The down escalators from the underground concourse descend northeast.
