Are you blind with no perception of light?
Do you go through periods when you have trouble sleeping at night and are sleepy during the day?
We are a research group at the University of Surrey who have been working for a number of years to successfully treat blind people, who have cyclic sleep disorders, with a hormone called melatonin.
Melatonin is linked to the biological clock and the control of the sleep-wake cycle. Without light perception the body clock becomes desynchronised from the 24 h day and can cause sleep disorders.
If you are interested in participating please contact us. We will initially interview you over the phone, and if you are suitable we have various studies that you can take part in and receive good remuneration.
