From Which Platform?

  Platform 1, District/Circle Line Westbound
Platform 2, District/Circle Line Eastbound
Platform 3, Jubilee Line Eastbound
Platform 4, Jubilee Line Westbound

From Platform 1, District/Circle Line Westbound

The doors open on your left as you face the front of the train.

As you move away from the rear of the train, the platform widens abruptly then more gradually as you approach the lift from the concourse. Beyond a barrier leading away from the lift, a large open area contains the foot of the steps from the concourse on the near (north) side, the lift to the Jubilee Line in the far left (southwest) corner and the escalators to the interchange level (towards the Jubilee Line) towards the far (southwest) side of this space.

We therefore suggest that you come from the middle, or rear of the train towards the front, so that you can be sure of locating the lift to the concourse, beyond the seats and pillars on your left. If you turn left, just beyond the lift, you'll pass some billboards before you reach the foot of the steps which go up to your left (north).

Via the Steps

Go up two flights of steps to concourse level, turn left, follow the barrier to the end then turn left, across the entrance to the lift, to the left-hand end of the gate line. There's a manual gate at the left-hand end, with the automatic gates beyond this.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

Via the Lift

At concourse level, turn left and continue till you reach the gate line. There's a manual gate at the left-hand end, with the automatic gates beyond this.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

From Platform 2, District/Circle Line Eastbound

The doors open on your left as you face the front of the train.

The steps to the concourse leave (northeast) from a recess towards the rear (west) end of the platform, the escalators to the interchange level leave from the next recess, going down west (towards the rear of the train). The lift to the concourse is a few metres beyond (northeast of) this, on the opposite side of this recess.

Via the Steps

Go up two flights of steps to concourse level, turn right (180 degrees), the manual gate should be in front of you, with the automatic gates to your left.

Via the Lift

Go to concourse level and continue to the gate line, in front of you. There's a manual gate at each end with the automatic gates between these.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

From Platform 3, Jubilee Line Eastbound

The doors open on your left as you face the front of the train.

Note that there are two ways out via escalators from this platform, the one nearer the rear (west) of the train is the one you need, whilst the other leads to the District/Circle Line, from which it is less convenient to reach the concourse. If you need the lift, however, you'll need to take the exit towards the front of the train.

Via Escalators

Take the exit nearer the rear of the train then turn right towards the escalators in front of you. You need the left-hand of three escalators, which takes you into the east section of the interchange level. From the top of this escalator, turn left, pass the lift then turn left again towards the escalators in front of you. Take the left-hand of three escalators to concourse level, turn left, continue past the steps to platform 1, to the end of the barrier on your left, then forward to the gate line. There's a manual gate at each end an the automatic gates are between these.

Note that there are no steps between the eastbound and interchange, or interchange and concourse levels. If you need stairs-only access you'll need to use the emergency exit at the rear (west) end of the platform or ask staff to stop one of the escalators.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

Via the Lift

Go through the exit nearer the front of the train, pass the escalators to your left and locate the lift, beyond these. Go up to the District/Circle Line level, you're in the large area off platform 1, westbound. Turn right (north), continue to the foot of the steps to the concourse, turn left and follow the barrier on your right onto the platform. Turn right then locate the lift after a few metres. The door faces north, onto the platform.

Go up to concourse level, turn left then follow the wall with windows on your left to locate the manual gate. The automatic gates are beyond this.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

From Platform 4, Jubilee Line Westbound

The doors open on your right as you face the front of the train.

Note that there are two ways out, via escalators from this platform. The one nearer the front (west) leads to the District/Circle Line from which it is less convenient to reach the concourse. We suggest you take the exit behind the rear of the train, from which you can use either the lift or escalators.

Via the Escalators

Having left the platform, continue past the lift on your left, then turn left towards the escalators. You can either go up two flights of steps (left of the escalators) or go up the left-hand escalator to the eastbound Jubilee Line level.

At the top, you're in the west well of the eastbound Jubilee Line level. Turn left, pass the top of the steps (if you used the escalator) then turn left again (east) and go up the left-hand of the three escalators in front of you, into the east section of the interchange level.

At the top, turn left, pass the lift then turn left again and continue up the left-hand of three escalators, to concourse level. Turn left, continue past the top of the steps from platform 1, follow the barrier on your left past the lift, then continue forward from here to the gate line. There's a manual gate at each end of the gate line, with the automatic gates between this.

Note that there are no steps between the eastbound and interchange, or interchange and concourse levels. If you need stairs-only access you'll need to use the emergency exit at the front (west) end of the platform or ask staff to stop one of the escalators.

GO THROUGH THE GATES

Via the Lift

Go through the exit beyond the rear of the train, locate the lift to your left and go up to the District/Circle Line level, you're in the large area off platform 1, westbound. Turn right (north), continue to the foot of the steps to the concourse then turn left. Follow the barrier to your right, onto the platform, turn right and then locate the lift after a few metres. The door faces north, onto the platform.

Go up to concourse level, turn left then follow the wall with windows on your left to locate the manual gate. The automatic gates are beyond this.

The gate line contains 16 automatic gates in a line running northwest/southeast across the concourse, with a manual gate at each end. We believe the direction of these gates will change according to the time of day.
