The Lift between the Bridge Street Entrance and the Concourse

At street level, the call button is to your left (west) of the door, you enter facing north.

At concourse level, the call button is to your right, as you face the door, you exit into a short passage leading north into the concourse.

Inside the lift, the control panel is to your right of the door you're facing. The alarm button is to the top right of the panel, with the Open, Up and Down buttons in a column, slightly offset to the left. Note that, at the time of our survey, the alarm button seemed very easy to set off by mistake.

The Lift Between the Concourse and Platform 1, District Line Westbound

There are clear spoken announcements

At concourse level, the call button is on a box to your left (east) of the door, with an embossed down arrow. You enter facing south

At District Line Level, the call button is to your left of the door, with an embossed up arrow. You leave facing north, onto the platform.

Inside the lift, the control panel is to your left as you enter. There's a vertical column of buttons, from the top: open, up, down. The alarm button is above and to your right of the open.

Between the Concourse and Platform 2, District Line Eastbound

At concourse level, the call button is to your right (east) of the door, with an embossed down arrow. You enter facing north.

At the District Line level, the call button is to your right of the door, with an embossed up arrow. You leave the lift facing south onto the platform.

Inside the lift, the control panel is to your left as you enter. There's a vertical column of buttons, from the top: open, up, down. The alarm button is above and to your right of the open.

The Lift Between Platform 1 and the Jubilee Line

There are clear spoken announcements.

At District Line level, the call button is to your right (west) of the door, with an embossed down arrow. At the eastbound Jubilee Line level, the up and down buttons are to your right (west) of the door, whilst at the Jubilee Line westbound level, the up button is to your right of the door. You leave the lift facing north onto the platform at District/Circle line level, whilst you should tirn immediately right at lower levels towards passages leading to the platforms.

Inside the lift, the control panel is to your left as you enter. there's a vertical column of buttons with, from the top: open, DC (District and Circle), JE (Jubilee Line Eastbound) and JW (Jubilee Line Westbound). The alarnm button is to your right and slightly above the open.
